京都の伝統工芸、引染（ひきぞめ）で、世界で一つだけの100%シルクのスカーフをつくろう

Let’s create a one-of-a-kind 100% silk scarf using Kyoto’s traditional dyeing method, Hiki-Zome (dyeing with wide brush).

この体験の主役は、色そのものではなく「引く」という所作です。
引染（ひきぞめ）は、色を布に置き、引き、流れをつくり、重ねていくことで、
線・にじみ・余白がひとつの景色になります。

完成した一枚には、選んだ色だけでなく、その瞬間の手の動きや迷い、ためらいまでもが残ります。引染の魅力を、見るだけではなく“自分の手で”確かめる時間をお楽しみください。

The star of this experience isn’t the color itself, but the gesture of “pulling.”
Hikizome is a dyeing technique where you place color onto fabric, pull it to create flow, and layer it—so lines, bleeds, and negative space come together as a single landscape.

In the finished piece, what remains isn’t only the colors you chose, but also the movement of your hands in that moment—along with your hesitation and the choices you made along the way.

引染体験コースについて

引染（ひきぞめ）とは

引染とは、独特のグラデーションが表現できる友禅染めの技法をいいます。主に着物の染色加工に使われる技法・技術の事で、生地（反物）に染料液を刷毛で均一に、またはぼかしの表現で染色する地染め方法の事をいいます。均一にむらなく染める事を「ひっきり（ひききり）」とよび、ぼかして染める事を「ぼかし染め」とよんでいます。引染は反物を端から端までをひっぱって染めるので、大きな場所が必要になります。布地をひっぱって刷毛で染める、という技法は世界でもあまり例が無い染色法です。引染は着物製作加工のなかで最も広い面積を染色する事が多く、それだけ染めの難点（ムラ、耳だまりなど）が目立ちやすい工程です。また、着物の購入をされる方はメインの色である地色（じいろ）を重要視される傾向にあります。

What is Hiki-Zome?

Hiki-Zome refers to a Yuzen dyeing technique capable of expressing unique gradations. Hiki-Zome is a technique mainly used for dyeing silk kimono fabric. It dyes the stretched fabric by spreading the stains by brush. This is a unique dyeing technique even in the world. Making a variety of beautiful gradation patterns with complex brush technique demands hard training and long experience.
